The designs on the box and website were heavily inspired by southwestern design and other Mexican textiles, as I’ve always been really interested in other cultures and how their designs differ from ours, and this was the perfect time to experiment with that. Researching to ensure that I was authentic as possible was a new and fun experience at the time.
Originally the color pallette was going to be much more muted and dull, dark greens and sandy colors, but after discussing with my peers and doing additional research I settled on these really beautiful vibrant gem tones that make the whole composition pop.
